Infant reflux happens when milk and stomach contents flow back up into the esophagus. It ranges from simple reflux (a “happy spitter”) to GERD, where reflux causes pain, feeding refusal or poor weight gain.
Reflux and colic often show up together. Tongue tie can make reflux worse, because a shallow latch means your baby swallows more air.
We focus on the upper neck, where the vagus nerve is most vulnerable to tension, and on the rest of the spine that supports your baby’s posture during feeds. Gentle adjustments help release that tension so the nervous system can better regulate digestion.
This isn’t about treating reflux as a stomach problem. It’s about supporting the communication between brain and gut that controls digestion in the first place.
Your baby’s first visit includes a history, a gentle exam and INSiGHT CLA scans to see how their nervous system is functioning. Adjustments use light fingertip pressure, and most babies tolerate them easily. Many relax during their visit.
You’ll find us in downtown St. Petersburg at 360 Central Ave, Suite 1200. Many St. Pete parents notice changes within a few weeks of consistent care, though every baby is different.
Our doctors have 250+ hours of advanced pediatric training through the ICPA, and Dr. Savy Ford and Dr. Peyton Gallentine collaborate on every case. We use INSiGHT CLA scanning to measure your baby’s nervous system function objectively and track progress over time.
We also look at the whole feeding picture, including latch, posture and tongue function, and refer to lactation consultants and pediatric dentists we trust when needed.
Every child is different, and results vary.
