Pediatric Chiropractic in St. Petersburg, FL

When your little one is fussy, not sleeping, backed up, or struggling to settle, it's not "just a phase" you have to push through. At Blossom Family Chiropractic in downtown St. Pete, our ICPA-trained and PX-Docs certified pediatric chiropractors gently support your child's nervous system so their body can do what it was designed to do: eat, sleep, poop, grow, and thrive.

What is pediatric chiropractic?

Pediatric chiropractic is gentle, nervous system-focused chiropractic care designed for babies, children, and teens. At Blossom Family Chiropractic in St. Petersburg, every gentle adjustment is modified to your child’s age and size.

Your child’s nervous system is the master control system for everything their body does, from digestion and sleep to focus and emotional regulation. Birth, falls, sports and everyday stress can all create tension in the nervous system that interferes with that brain-body communication. Pediatric chiropractic looks for that tension and gently helps release it.

Children aren’t just small adults. Their spines are still developing and their nervous systems are still wiring, which is why our St. Pete team completed 250+ hours of advanced pediatric training through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and are certified through PX-Docs.

What conditions can a pediatric chiropractor help with?

Families across St. Petersburg and Pinellas County come to Blossom when their kiddo is struggling with:

What does a pediatric chiropractic adjustment look like?

Nothing like an adult adjustment. For babies, our doctors use light fingertip pressure, often while your baby is in your arms or lying on your lap. For older kids, we use gentle manual techniques or a soft instrument adjustment, and many kiddos can’t wait to climb on the table.

We always go at your child’s pace. Some children start by exploring our play area and watching a sibling get adjusted before they’re ready for their own turn.

What happens at my child's first visit?

Your first visit at Blossom starts with listening. We’ll spend time on your child’s health history, birth story and your goals. Then we use INSiGHT CLA scanning, a painless, non-invasive technology that measures how your child’s nervous system is handling stress and pinpoints where the areas of dysfunction in the nervous system lie. Many babies sleep right through it.

After, our doctors review the scans together and walk you through what we found in plain language on your second visit, no medical jargon. You’ll leave with a clear care plan that tells you how often to come in and what changes to watch for.

We’re located in the First Central Tower (Truist building) at 360 Central Ave, Suite 1200 in downtown St. Petersburg, with a children’s play area, a private nursing nook for mamas, and a private sensory room for overstimulated kids.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should my child see their pediatrician first?

Chiropractic care is not emergency care. Call your pediatrician or seek urgent care right away for a fever in a baby under 3 months, trouble breathing, dehydration, poor weight gain, a sudden change in alertness, or any injury. We’re happy to see your little one alongside their medical care.

Yes. Pediatric adjustments at Blossom Family Chiropractic use very light pressure for babies and small children, about what you’d use to test a ripe tomato. Our St. Petersburg doctors have 250+ hours of specialized ICPA pediatric training and adapt every adjustment to your child’s age, size and comfort.

Babies can be checked in their first days of life. Birth is one of the most physically demanding experiences a baby goes through, so many St. Pete parents bring their newborn in within the first few weeks, especially after a long labor, C-section, or vacuum or forceps delivery.

Every child is different. Many parents notice changes in sleep, digestion or mood within the first few weeks of consistent care, while longer-standing challenges take more time. We re-scan regularly so you can see progress, not just feel it.

Yes. We see ourselves as part of your child’s care team, not a replacement for it. We encourage families to keep their pediatrician in the loop, and we refer out when something needs medical attention.
